A dashboard can be shared to user roles and/or user accounts. This is useful when multiple users need to view similar dashboard analytics.

To be able to share to user roles, it is important that user roles are created and user accounts are assigned roles beforehand. This is performed by the Administrator account.

When a dashboard is shared to a user/role, the dashboard name will be visible in the Dashboard selector dropdown list in dashboard view. The dashboard name will have beside it 'Shared by owner name'.

A shared dashboard is 'locked' and can only be edited by the dashboard owner. However, a shared dashboard can be copied to a new dashboard and then edited by selecting the 3 dot menu in each widget. Each widget in the copied dashboard will require the data source to be updated.

Share a dashboard by following the steps below:

Login to Vemcount.
Select dashboard view by selecting 'Dashboards' in the left side menu.
Select the dashboard to share in the the Dashboard selector dropdown list.
Select the 3 dot menu and select 'Share' in the dropdown list.
Select the users and/or user roles in the window.
Select 'Save' button.
